What we are doing

Our Story

KETEX Foundation was birthed in response to a need identified by Pastor X in the township of Alexandra. He wanted to help young people to motivated to go to school and stay in school until matric. During the time of the formation of the organization, most young people would drop out of school from Grade 10 due to bullying, family unfavorable circumstances. KETEX was then formed to bridge the gap and ensure these learners have proper schooling uniform, books etc. We started with 20 kids per year and by year two we were assisting over 80 young people.

Why We Exist

We are a foundation that provides a holistic approach through spiritual, mental, social and physical wellness support to children from previously disadvantaged communities through:

Academic Support & Workplace Readiness

  • To provide academic support and development to primary and high school children from previously disadvantaged background.
  • To provide post high-school children and youth with career guidance, job hunting and readiness skills

Leadership Programme/Skills

  • Equip primary and high school children from previously disadvantaged backgrounds with leadership skills.

Life Skills

  • Provide all children in the areas of Critical Thinking, Heath & Hygiene Skills, Time Management Skills, Communication Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Anti-Drugs Programmes etc.

Holistic Mental Health Support

  • Provide primary and high school children from previously disadvantaged backgrounds with holistic mental health support.

Basic Needs

  • Provide primary and high school children from previously disadvantaged backgrounds with basic food supplies and toiletry/sanitary supplies.

Pumla Luhabe

Operations Head

Pumla is a culturally diverse and results-focused commercial leader with learned knowledge of corporate finance, optimal capital structure, and value creation (EVA®) and project management principles; as well as working experience in strategy development, communications, marketing, business development, relationships management, and managing resources.

She has over 15 years of senior management working experience, and 11 years in executive management.

Roles include Executive board member, Chief Commercial Officer, General Manager of Commercial, and Business Development Manager in the airline industry, and Product Manager in FMCG.

Her main functions include steering all aspects of sales, new business, revenue growth, and marketing, working closely with business unit leaders to conceptualize and execute effective plans to generate revenue, maximize share of wallet, and increase customer lifetime value. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Administration from Wits Business School and a Bachelor of Journalism & Media Studies from Rhodes University, Grahamstown.

Moipone Mabila

HR Head

Highly accomplished HR personnel with 13years of experience in the mining health and logistics sectors. Possesing an Honors degree in Industrial Psychology and a proven track record in talent acquisition, employee relations, strategic HR planning, wellness and payroll. i have demostrated success in optimizing workforce productivity, fostering a pasitive work culture as well as implementing effective HR policies and procedures.

I am proficient at leading cross-functional teams and driving organisational growth through effective people management strategies. I am committed to delivering exceptional results while ensuring commpliance with emploment laws and regulations.

I am seeking for new opportunities to leverage my HR experties and drive impactful change within an organisation in a high performance team that will provide my range of relevant business and management skills.

Zandile

Logistics Coordinator

Zandile is a special butterfly currently working in the freight forwarding sector with a background of 14 years in customer clearance and customer service.
I have positioned myself well within the logistics industry as I have developed a deep understanding of the intracacies involved in transportation, internal trade, and customer service. I am currently pursuing my carrer and studying supply chain management.

It is my greatest pleasure to be part of this organisationas helping people is something very close to my heart and gives my joy.

Makiti Mojapelo

Strategy and Development Head

Makiti has over 14 years working experience in the financial services sector (Banking and Insurance). His professional experience cuts across several disciplines which includes Enterprise Risk Management, Strategy, Due Diligence, Quality Assurance and Insurance Underwriting. Makiti holds a Master of Business Administration, International Certificate in Risk Management, Honors in Business Management, and Bachelor of Commerce in Risk and Advanced Management.
